Announce Achievements To Guild (and other enhancements)

This addon brings back the achievement announcements. It works a bit differently than other such addons, as it doesn’t use the actual guild chat by default. This means only people with the addon will see the achievement announcements by default, unless you decide to send them in the actual guild chat instead (it’s an option).

Starting with version 0.2.5b, it is now possible to get the addon to only use the extra features without having to see notifications (by turning the option off). This makes it possible to get the addon so that your guildmates (those with the addon installed and the option enabled) can see your achievements without having to see any notifications yourself.

– Extra features (everything is toggleable!) –

• Option to play the Achievement Sound Effect on your end when you get an achievement.
• Option to view level up notifications. It works similarly to the achievements! Only those with the addon installed (and the option turned on – it’s off by default!) will see those, as they are being sent with the addon. There’s also an option to only see notifications for level 60 and up if you’d like to turn them on but limit spam a little.
• Option to show a “Guild Message of the Day” window upon logging in to a character. This can be useful to avoid forgetting to read it when your chat gets immediately drowned by spam upon logging in.
• Option to play the whisper sound effect for each new guild message/notification (not recommended for bigger guilds; useful for smaller guilds).

– Modes of operation –

• Mode 1 (DEFAULT BEHAVIOUR): Send the notifications only to other people who have the addon installed within your guild as a system message. This ensures that only people who actually want to see these announcements will see them, and people who don’t want to see them won’t.
• Mode 2: Send the notifications directly in guild chat so everyone without the addon can see them. NOTE: This only works for the ACHIEVEMENT notifications. Level up notifications won’t ever be sent in actual guild chat. (CONSULT YOUR GUILDMATES BEFORE ENABLING THIS OPTION)

– Text options –

• The notifications will use your guild channel’s colour scheme.
• You can enable or disable class colours on people’s usernames in notification messages.
• You can select which chat frame you want to see the notifications in (and have the option to also send it to the default chat frame).
• You can format the guild tag a few different ways.
• You can toggle timestamps.
