Description
ClassicUI is an addon that has the objective of returning the classic default interface that has been heavily modified in Dragonflight (to pre-BFA style).
Features
* ClassicUI restores the classic interface, which includes a total relocation of action bars, backpack and bags, the microbuttons (character detail, guild, etc …), and status bars (reputation, experience, honor, …). The purpose of this addon is to make the interface look exactly like the old interface (pre-BFA), specially the frames related to the action bars.
* Pixel perfect: Meticulous work has been done to automatically establish the bars in the old position with exactness at the pixel level.
* Works correctly in all resolutions and in all interface scales.
* Fully reversible: ClassicUI only makes modifications in the session, so no change is permanent and it doesn’t make any changes to any user profiles. You can restore the new Dragonflight interface to how it was before simply by disabling this addon.
* Compatible with Edit Mode: ClassicUI does not modify your Edit Mode settings in any way, it simply ignores some of the current settings. You will be able to switch between different Edit Mode profiles without problems. Edit Mode options that are not related to frames that ClassicUI modifies will continue to apply without problems. The options related to the frames that ClassicUI modifies are usually ignored, although some are supported, here is the list of the supported ones:
· Action Bars -> “# of Icons” (“12” is the recommended value)
· Action Bars -> “Bar Visible” (“Always Visible” is the recommended value)
· Action Bars -> “Always Show Buttons” (your choice)
· Minimap -> “Rotate minimap” (your choice)
* Configurable: You can access the configuration menu from Interface->Addons or by typing the /ClassicUI command. Type /ClassicUI help to know all the available slash commands.
– Frame options: ClassicUI allows the user to manually move the action bars and the status bars individually, this allows a greater personalization and serves as a correction if some placement error occurs. For each action bar, you can choose the layout of its buttons, being able to restore the classic style (the default option) or keep the new Dragonflight button style. For the classic layout, you can additionally select to keep some specific textures of the new style, thus allowing greater customization. You can also show/hide/move the left/right Gargoyle art frame and select new alternate Gargoyle models, and some alternative classic microbutton icons are also available among many other configuration options. Do not forget to review the different customization options to set the interface to your liking.
– Extra frames: ClassicUI allows the user to modify some additional interface elements besides those strictly related to action bars. These mods are independent of the rest of the addon and can be individually enabled/disabled (most are enabled by default), even with the main addon disabled. Currently, the extra frames supported are the following:
· Minimap: In this panel, the user can select between using the new minimap introduced in Dragonflight or restoring the old one. You can also change its position and/or scale it. From this section it is also possible to move the QueueButton (LFG Button) to another position, choose between a smaller or larger size and choose whether or not to anchor it to the minimap.
· Bags: It has an option that allows you to modify the behavior of the free space counter in the bag (among other options, for example, it allows you to choose to ignore the bag of components in the free space count). It also allows you to change its position.
· BuffAndDebuffFrame: It has the option to hide the arrow that hides/expands the Buffs (and keeps the buffs always visible). In the future, it is planned to include more options related to the control of the position of these frames.
· Bags: It has an option that allows you to restore some old chat features, such as scroll arrows.
· PlayerFrame, PetFrame, TargetFrame, FocusFrame: coming soon™… (not implemented yet)
· Castbar: coming soon™… (not implemented yet)
· LootFrame: coming soon™… (not implemented yet)
– Extra options: Although it is not the main purpose of this addon, some additional functionalities related to action bars have been incorporated that can be very useful (disabled by default):
· Guild Panel Mode: This additional option allows you to recover the old guild panel. You can select open the old guild panel by means of some access modes (keybind, left, middle or right click on the guild microbutton, …) and conserve other access modes to continue accessing the new social guild panel.
· Keybinds Visibility: This functionality allows hide the text of the keybinds of the action bars. You can hide these keybinds but still show the range point (the default one if you do not set a keybind) or completely hide all the keybinds. You can also select hide the ActionButtons Names (usually shown when a macro is assigned to an ActionButton).
· RedRange: By default, the Blizzard interface only shows in red the keybind text of the spell when it is out of range. This additional functionality allows you to display the icon completely red when an ability is out of range.
· GreyOnCooldown: This extra option allows to show desaturated Icons on ActionButtons when the spell is on cooldown. If you only like this feature, you should check its own addon website.
· LossOfControlUI Remover: When your character suffers a CC effect, the default behavior of your action bars is to establish a Cooldown according to the CC duration. This can be annoying for some players. You can activate this additional option to remove the cooldown of the bars produced by the effects of CC.
