Description

Share this:

A revival/continuation of the popular combat addon DKOne. Includes changes made by 6.0 and incorporates Draenor perks and lvl 100 talents. For a load of additional information and extra links, head to the original addon's page here.

DKTwo is my personal efforts to repair an addon and bring it up to current status. It began as a quick fix to DKOne's code to restore basic functionality, and it took off from there. 99% of the code and therefore the credit goes to the original author, Zostra. They did an amazing job making the program clear and easy to maintain and provided tons of examples for me to base my fixes off of.

For the ease of new users, this addon is standalone and does not require the original DKOne to run. All files are included and don't need to be copied to any other directory.

WoD Talents are now available!

After finally reaching 100, I've been able to use Visari as my guinea pig for the new talents, which I've included (for the most part). The most popular talent right now (12/16/2014) is definitely Defile for it's ease of use. I've given this spell its own rotation entry, as it's powerful enough to become a higher priority vs DnD. If you don't see Defile pop into your rotation, type in-game /dktwo options -> Rotations -> your spec -> at the bottom 'Update <spec> Rotation' to default to my suggestions, or enter it into your rotation field manually.

Necrotic Plague is a different beast. It required more than a few special cases, as it changes how many spells interact because of diseases. If talented, I've modified DKTwo's disease interface to accommodate NP as follows: where Frost Fever previously showed is the duration of NP on the current target. Blood Plague's old counter will now show the stacks of NP on the current target – – pretty neat! I've heard of some folks having awesome results specced Unholy using a "Plagueblight" build… Anyway, my two cents here:

  • This talent is incredibly viable for trash pulls, cleave/multi boss fights, and heroic dungeons, especially if targets will be on the move (Defile is ground target)
  • Very strong paired with Unholy's Ebon Plaguebringer
  • Works well in Frost DW due to HB spam
  • Shows subpar results in 2H frost and Blood specs

If you're serious about netting high NP stacks, take Unholy Blight as a tier-1 talent. Instant max stacks on pull. For that matter, you will want anything that's not Plague Leech – – removing the disease a few seconds before it's reached max damage is not good for DPS. Overall, if you've trained yourself to reapply/refresh diseases a few seconds before they wear off (like the addon was originally programmed), you're going to want to break that habit… using outbreak or any ability to attempt to refresh NP will be wasted at max stacks: the disease must drop before you can reapply. The only exception is Festering Strike for Unholy. Read up on this neat talent here.

I've included Breath of Sindragosa in the abilities list, but I haven't made a rotation entry yet, as it's the least popular talent so far and most sites only report on the "best" talents, and frankly I'm not sure the conditions you'd want to meet before you use it. Those of you who use BoS, I'd like to hear from you! Is this an AoE only talent? Do you use it on CD or only during Pillar/Lust/burn phase?

Troubleshooting? Known Issues

Right now, it's possible that talents and spells may not update correctly when changing specs. I personally run Frost/Blood, but when swapping to Blood sometimes I would still get Frost Strike in my priority queue, as well as the DnD icon instead of Defile… I'm having trouble nailing down why this happens, but you can easily fix this by dropping combat and doing a quick /reload. Apologies for this.

Other issues? PMs get forwarded to my email which I check daily, report bugs or suggestions there!

ToDo:

  • Possibly include menial WoD Leveling perks such as range increases
  • T17 bonuses, if need be
  • Squash the spec-change error…

Thanks guys!

Aaron
