How to create a link to your music

Do I have to copy all of my music files to the wow folder?
No. The Playlist Manager will copy the files for you. If you don't want that you can create a link from the music folder in the wow folder to your music.

Windows XP:

1.
Download mklink for xp from: http://www.zdnet.de/windows_system_verbessern_mklink_f_uuml_r_windows_download-39002345-30973-1.htm (click "Jetzt Herunterladen") and extract the zip to lets say "C:\mklink" Extract the zip file mklink.exe (in the Playlistmanager folder) to lets say "C:\mklink"
2. Open your wow folder (e.g. "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft") and create the music folder "MyMusic" if it does not yet exist.
3. Click Start > Run and type cmd.exe
4. Change into the folder where mklink is (cd C:\mklink)
5. Now you have to type "mklink \J" followed by the complete path to first the wow music folder + a linkname and then the path to your music.
Example: mklink \J "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\mymusic\mymusiclink" "C:\music\goodstuff"
6. Open the Playlist Manager go to Tools > Option and set music folder to the folder you created before.
Example: "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\MyMusic\"
7. Open the wow music folder with explorer and drag the link you have created (or any sub folder of it) into the playlist manager.

Windows Vista:

On Vista you can do this by:

3. Right click cmd.exe and select "Run as Administrator".
4. Now you have to type "mklink \D" followed by the complete path to first the wow music folder
and a some linkname and then the path to your music.
Example: mklink \D "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\mymusic\mymusiclink" "C:\music\goodstuff"
5. Open the Playlist Manager go to Tools > Option and set music folder to the folder you created bevore.
Example: "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\mymusic\"
6. Open the wow music folder and drag the link you have created (or any subfolder of it) into the playlist manager.

Note: There ist a problem with the Java file selection dialg and those links.
