This is a very simple addon, all it does is enable combat logging to the WoW folder/Logs/WoWCombatLog.txt file whenever you enter a raid instance, and then disables itself automatically as you leave the instance.
That log file is used for such websites as WorldOfLogs, WowWebStats, and other similar services.
Why should I use EasyLogger compared to similar addons?
- Extremely lightweight
The entire addon is less than 30 lines of code, only runs anything right as you zone in or out from an instance, and it uses close to zero memory.
- You'll never have to update it
Well, never say never, but the code for the addon was written in 2008, and has not needed an update since, and it's unlikely that it will. While similar addons might take a few days to update for new instances as they are released, EasyLogger won't, the old version will work just fine.
- It works out of the box with zero configuration
Just unzip the file in your addon folder (or press that button in the curse client), and you're good to go, you won't have to set anything up.
Note: Remember to delete or rename the WoWCombatLog.txt-fiile located in WoW folder/Logs every once in a while, otherwise it will grow very large and can potentially slow you down.
