Description
Federation is an addon used to create (cross-realm) guild groups.
Currently in late stages of beta, with completed core functionality.
Usage
– After installing the addon activate the channels on a chat window, like you would do with regular channels (e.g. Guild chat, Raid chat, etc).
– A JSON string needs to be located in the guild information with Federation as a key, and an array with BattleTags as its value.
– Only 1 Battle.Net link needs to be made for both (or more) guilds to receive and send messages.
– JSON Example: {"Federation":["Friend#0001","Friend#0002","Friend#0003"]}
How does it work
– A player from guild A sends a message in the federation channel.
– The addon catches the message and instead of sending it to the server, it sends it to the guild/officer addon channel.
– The addon then shows the message in the designated chat window (with the channel activated) for players of guild A.
– The sender then attempts to send a message to all available battle.net friends (only sending them to the ones in the guild info).
– The receiving player in guild B/C/D/E/etc receives the addon message.
– The receiving player will then send it to their guild/officer addon channel.
– The addon then shows the message in the designated chat window (with the channel activated) for players of guild B/C/D/E/etc.
Current functionality
– Federation (all members) chat, using custom /federation (or /f) channel.
– Commander (officer members) chat, using custom /commander (or /c) channel.
– Toggleable channels in the default UI.
