Description
This addon hides Battle.net friends from the in game friends list (the number on the button reflects this), Hides your BTag ID from the top of the friends list, and hides/silences Quick Join notifications (You can still access it from it’s social tab if you want). Each can be toggled independantly. /hbn allows you to toggle them via command.
Battle.net friends will still see you online, be able to whisper you, and you’ll be able to reply as normal. If you want to stop Battle.net Whispers from showing up in your chat window, remove them from your chat window settings, go invisible, or both.
If you want to completely stop Battle.net stuff you must take additional measures in Blizzard’s settings. Disable Broadcast Updates, Real ID and BattleTag Friend Requests, and Show Toast Window in WoW’s Interface/Social settings menu. (I put a reminder in the options to tell you if they’re enabled to disabled.
Note/Warning: I added safeties to make sure other addons using BNet will still function properly. Tested this with CrossRP. If it does cause trouble with that or other addons, I added a toggle to turn that function off entirely.
Should be fine in Vanilla and BC
I copied some of the code for hiding Quick Join from https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/hide-quick-join
