No setup required! Simply install and enjoy a cleaner chat window.
Working in Retail (Dragonflight) as of 12/18/22!
The code will match the pattern of commonly used language by people who post about boosts in chat. Don’t worry, this does not filter legit messages, only the typical boost spam. This will not filter messages you send, so you could send boost messages yourself without seeing the boost messages of other people.
Examples of messages filtered:
“WTB Mara boost 15g/run”
“WTS SM BOOSTS PST FOR INFO”
“Stock runs 15g / runs”
and more!
The addon is dynamic and will match on combinations of “WTS/WTB Boost” anywhere in the message as well as “1g/run” and similar language and filters these annoying messages out of chat!!
Channels Filtered:
1. Say
2. Whisper
3. Yell
4. All System Channels (General, Trade, LocalDefense, LookingForGroup etc)
5. Custom channels too!
Commands (not case sensitive):
Enable the filter:
/stopBoostSpamOn
This enables the filtering (default is On)
Disable the filter:
/stopBoostSpamOff
This disables the filtering.
