KindredVO

KindredVO is an addon intended for Beast Mastery Hunters. It plays Kindred's voice from League of Legends when casting certain spells.

Kindred is a dual character: female bowman + male wolf companion. Together they are sort of pagan grim reaper team, that shows up at one's final moments to take one's life.

They have amazing voice acting, and I decided to bring it to World of Warcraft.

For best effect play as female Hunter with Wolf or Spirit Wolf pet.

The addon will play random voice effects when:

• Hunter initiates combat (auto shot or arcane shot)
• Pet initiates combat (pet sprint or pet charge)
• Hunter casts Disengage, Binding Shot, Kill Command, Bestial Wrath, Camouflage, Kill Shot, gets ressurected, revives or calls pet, goes AFK or gains a level.
• Pet casts Heart of Phoenix

Voice effects have mandatory pauses of 5 to 30 seconds between them, so they will almost never overlap, and will not annoy the player by playing constantly.

This addon was developed mainly for personal use, so no customization options and no UI are available.

Wishlist:

• Add voice effects for killing a raid boss
• Add voice effects when somebody wins a roll for a piece of loot that would've been an upgrade for you and you rolled for

Notes:

This addon is very simple, bordering on primitive, and anyone with basic programming knowledge can edit "core.lua" file to change when and how certain sound effects are played.

Voice effects are attached to Spell IDs, so it will work with any locale, but naturally the language of played voice files is always english.

Этот аддон воспроизводит случайные (английские) голосовые эффекты когда:

• Охотник начинает бой (с помощью автоматической стрельбы или чародейского выстрела)
• Питомец начинает бой (кастует рывок или порыв)
• Охотник кастует Отрыв, Связующий Выстрел, Команду "Взять!", Звериный Гнев, Камуфляж, Убийственный Выстрел, возрождает или призывает питомца, уходит в АФК (отошел от клавиатуры), повышает уровень.
• Питомец кастует Сердце Феникса.

Все эти случаи имеют отдельные наборы звуковых эффектов, всего около 150 звуков. Эффекты не могут проигрываться чаще чем раз в 5-30 секунд, так что они почти никогда не должны пересекаться, и не будут раздражать игрока постоянной болтовней.

Аддон прост до примитивности, и разрабатывался в первую очередь для личного использования, поэтому настроек и интерфейса не предполагается. Тем не менее, любой с базовыми навыками программирования может открыть core.lua в блокноте и изменить какие эффекты воспроизводятся в каких случаях, а также изменить задержку.
