Description
With patch 8.0, Blizzard revamped their spell API to primarily use spell IDs instead of names. In the process, /cancelaura was broken for any buff that had a different spell ID than the casting spell (example: Levitate is spell ID 1706, but the buff it applies is spell ID 111759). This addon simply restores the original functionality of canceling auras by name.
This addon adds two slash commands:
/cancel Levitate
/microcancel Levitate
They are completely identical, and the second one only exists in case there's a slash command collision on the first one. Spell names are not case sensitive. In case you happen to have multiple buffs with the same name, the first one found will be cancelled.
This addon has no configuration and no other functionality. Simply install, and replace /cancelaura in your macros with /cancel. This addon will be abandoned once Blizz fixes their built-in command.
