Description
What is this?
When forming e.g. a mythic+ group you cannot rely on item level to estimate a player's performance. What you probably want to check is their WoWProgress (or Raider.IO, Warcraft Logs, Armory) page. Since typing names is often bothersome, this addon provides you with a link, which you can easily copy out of your input box or a popup window (depends on setting).
You might also want to know what kind of player a group leader is, before committing to a group.
When you are in a group, raid or out in the world, you can also get a link to arbitrary players.
When forming a group
- Double click a candidate's name in your LFG applicant list (hold modifier to get different links).
- Press Ctrl-C to copy the applicant's link.
- Paste it into your web browser with Ctrl-V.
When searching for a group
- Double click a group in your LFG search results (hold modifier to get different links).
- Press Ctrl-C to copy group leader's link.
- Paste it into your web browser with Ctrl-V.
Modifiers for alternative sites
- Alt: Raider.IO
- Ctrl: Warcraft Logs
- Shift: Blizzard Armory
Arbitrary players
- Move your mouse over a player or their unit frame and press the bound key (default: ALT-CTRL-P and ALT-CTRL-R; can be changed via the key binding dialog).
- Press Ctrl-C to copy the player's link.
- Paste it into your web browser with Ctrl-V.
Slash commands
- Config options: /wowprogresslink, /wpl
Possible issues
- May not work with non-Latin server names, if they contain space characters. WoWProgress should show the correct character as best guess search result though.
- If you play in another region than where you installed battle.net, you have to set your region in WoWProgressLink's options.
