Description
Ever go questing with the wonderful garrison bodyguard followers ?
Do you get annoyed when the follower scoots in front of your loot/chat target only to pop a HUGE chat box in your face ?
Well, worry no more – Bodyguard Away has your back.
With a simple /bga on, you can disable the chat popup for good. The popup is ONLY disabled for bodyguard-flagged NPC's, every other chat box works.
You can always enable the chatbox again with the command /bga off, to send your follower home for the day.
Usage:

/bga on – Disables the bodyguard chat popup.
/bga off – Enables the bodyguard chat popup.
Hold CTRL while clicking the bodyguard to get the chat popup – useful for bodyguards with max faction level abilities.
The addon saves the enabled/disabled state on an account basis.

The addon now uses the actual bodyguard NPCID's, which means that it should also work in non-English versions of WoW.
If this is not the case, please let me know 🙂
This also solves the issue of not being able to talk to an unassigned bodyguard at your barracks.

Many thanks to goling for finding a solution to the earlier ElvUI issue. Many thanks to Ancoron13 for submitting a much more elegant NPCID parsing and array handling.
Since you can't focus something from an addon, and having your bodyguard as the focus while questing is nice, Gaddor supplied the macro below.
It helps with focus-framing the bodyguard and enabling/disabling bodyguard away – replace Defender Illona with your bodyguard of choice:
/targetexact Defender Illona
/focus [button:1]
/use Bodyguard Miniaturization Device
/bga on
/stopmacro [button:1]
/bga off
/clearfocus [button:2]
With this macro on your bar, LEFT-CLICKing the macro will set the bodyguard as your Focus and turn on the Bodyguard Away addon.
RIGHT-CLICKing the macro will turn off the Bodyguard Away addon and clear your focus target.
