Share this:

NI love the new legion combat sounds, but two handed swords seem to have lost the weight that the old sounds had. I decided to whip up something real quick that brings back some of the "weight" to the sounds, but retains the new feel to it:

Legion 2h sword sounds + Dark Souls Ultra Greatsword Impact sound = magic

Installation instructions: Do not extract it to your interface/addons folder like most addons, or it won't work. Instead just extract the "Sound" folder of the version you prefer to your world of warcraft directory (where the launcher exe is found) if you have other sound addons installed, make sure you hit yes if windows asks to merge folders

New Update:

I got annoyed how the addon got a little hard to distinguish between attacking different materials, making each impact sound too similar for my taste. This new version features the legion update sounds more prominently than the original mod, allowing the differences between attacking different objects, such as stone, wood, plate, mail, and flesh, to be easier to hear, adding more variety to the audio experience of combat without too much change to the original file.

That being said, it is, without a doubt, a different sound. If you prefer the new update or the original will be up to you entirely. Because of that, I decided to include both old and new versions in the download. Just make sure you extract the "sound" folder within the version you want, and not the main folder for your preferred choice.
