LootM developed for <Rated M> of Winterhoof, assists the distribution of loot in raid environments by bringing to the front the most important pieces of information about a player. When the loot master loots items from a boss/cache the raid is informed of all the items available and shows them how much or little of an improvement that item is for the given slot. The player then has the ability to need/greed/pass and that information is displayed for all. The player with the lowest equipped item in that slot and has the highest benefit (base on stat weights) of said item will be displayed at the top. The loot master is still in control of who gets the loot, but with more information at hand, is able to make a decisions quicker.
Install addon and enable in game.
When in a raid group with master loot the addon is enabled.
Simply loot a boss/cache as the master looter to start a looting session.
Click the name of the player to distribute the loot.
Raid members can need/greed/pass on any individual item.
Only the top five players are shown for each item to save space.
/lootm to bring the loot window backup showing the last looting session
/lootm config to show the stat weights editor.
Stat weights are per loot spec. These weights default to '1' and are not mandatory for the addon to 'work' but will effect the improvement rating on a given piece.
- Stat weight editor has trouble storing decimal points. A simple work around is to multiply all the weights by 10.
i.e. Intellect: 3 and Haste 2.2 have the same effect as Intellect 30 and Haste 22.
- Duplicate items. The addon communicates using an item link, which is unique to the item/ilvl/bonus stats. If two identical items drop at the same time from the same boss the second one will show, but cannot not rolled on. Simply use the standard UI loot window to distribute the second item.
